Every once in awhile, a project is begging to be made.

All over the city of Rio de Janeiro, there are public areas called "Olympic Villages". Sort of a public park meets YMCA. Prior to the Olympics, Nike refreshed the facilities in many of the key villages, and implemented programming for local kids coming in to the only safe haven in their neighborhood.

After a few trips down to Brazil, we had a mountain of footage and a few rough cuts for a series of videos to be made. The videos fulfilled the brief, but lacked the essence of what these places felt like. One night, I sat down and cut together what you see above. Every once in awhile, an edit flows with very little effort.

They ended up using this piece more than the original series of videos we were hired to make.
